Sorry for the delay in posting this from Scout (sent right before my visit and I’m horribly behind with all this travel!). But she has an awesome update for Xi Dou 2016 Cub and it even has a cute video of one of the cubs learning to crawl!!
“Hi again everyone! We’ve been pretty busy here the past couple of weeks trying to recover from the madness that was golden week and catching up on all the observations we missed due to the crazy amount of visitors at Bifengxia. We’re also prepping for Meghan to come visit for a couple of days as well as Celina’s parents, who hopefully, will be bringing us flaming hot Cheetos (YAY)!”
They did indeed get the flaming hot Cheetos
“Anyway, I’ve decided to make this blog a Xi Dou 2016 cub appreciation post as I’ve been watching Xi Dou recently and think she’s an amazing mother (and I also have a lot of adorable photos of one of her cubs). Xi Dou has twins, boy and girl, and they are just over a month old right now.
Xi Dou is very attentive when it comes to her cubs and it’s interesting to see the babies react to her. Whenever she goes to pick them up, the cubs seem to vocalize more as if saying “Come on mom put me down, this is so embarrassing!”
Along with cute photos, I was lucky enough to get a video of the boy cub vocalizing with mom and a short clip of him struggling to learn how to crawl!

I’ve also attached two videos of Hu Chun, who I was observing for stereotypes this week, who was being really silly and climbing a tree and playing with the broken branches while somersaulting.

Enjoy!”

Thank you for the post! Glad you got some American junk food! I took the panda personality test and am most like Lin Ping which is most amazing because I’m an adopter (shared) of her younger cub! I like to hear the cubs’ vocalizations – we don’t get to hear too much of that! So Happy Halloween – is there a Chinese equivalent? Until next time – thanks! You are a panda lover’s eyes and ears!
A good presentation, good effort! Thank you Scout!
