PDXWildlife is excited to announce that the first of our PDXSeafood logos are scheduled to roll out on restaurant menus next week! We’re so proud!
So keep an eye out for these fish the next time you’re out to eat:
Planning to go on a sustainable seafood scavenger hunt? Wondering why we won’t just tell you where to go? Because it’s a secret! But just for now. We will absolutely be rewarding our conservation conscious restaurant partners with lots of media praise (including adding them to our map of sustainable seafood in PDX, here) but we can’t do that just yet because it would bias our sampling. *Sigh* I know. We’re such scientists around here.
So hang in there, sustainable seafood connoisseurs! If you’re not lucky enough to stumble onto a restaurant partner we’ll be advertising these great dining opportunities in a few short weeks.

I really love this idea. I made a decision to stop eating sushi recently because despite having a slight obsession with it, I don’t want to contribute to overfishing. That said I’ll have to look into the methods used for determining sustainability. And hi, D!
Hey Sam!
Thanks for reading! Did you know that Bamboo Sushi here in Portland is entirely sustainable and one of our mentor restaurants? So it’s possible to still eat sustainable sushi! Check out the Seafood Watch app (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/seafood-watch/id301269738?mt=8) to help with your sushi choices 🙂
