We are receiving quite a few requests for updates and photos of Lin Bing- a.k.a. Lin Ping. She has been a fantastic mother and just recently allowed us to capture some great photos and video of her and her cub.

Lin Bing was born to Lin Hui and Chuang Chuang on May 27th, 2009 at the Chiang Mai Zoo in Thailand. Since all pandas are the property of the China, every foreign born cub is returned by the age 0f 4, in order to increase the number of genetically viable males and females for the breeding program. She is the first panda born in Thailand and was transferred to China in 2013.
The excitement surrounding Lin Bing here at Bifengxia is that this is her first set of offspring. She gave birth to twin girls on July 27th, 2015 at 4:47 and 6:33 am. Both cubs are being raised by Lin Bing, swapping out each every 10 days or so. All photos included in this post are of cub #2. Let us know what you think and leave a comment. Thanks for visiting.
Thanks a million time, I really miss her and her twins daughter. This is precious. her baby looks gorgeous like her and her grandma “Lin Hui” <3 Thanks again.
No problem. She’s a joy to watch with her cubs. Actually, all of the mothers are so attentive and caring for their babies. What I like the most is how many human traits they have. We might have another chance to catch her other cub, so check in with us again.
I will be waiting, Thank you.
Thank you so much for posting, they are most adorable. Happy to see them well and healthy. I’ve been eagerly waiting to see all three of them. I would love to see Little Lin Ping # 1 in the bear future, thanks again.
We’re here for another few days. Depending on the cub swapping schedule, we might be able to catch a glimpse of her. Stay tuned.
thank you very much, looking forward to hearing more news and photoes of Lin-Ping and her twins, love them all.
Happy to do it. Wish I had my video camera at the ready- Just watched Lin Ping walk across her indoor enclosure to check out a prying mantis on the wall. She ended up eating it and quickly regretting her decision. I imagine they don’t taste very good.
so sweet and lovely mom and kid, thank you and hope to see more
Thaank you for posting these adorabe pictures. Lin Bing I love you. Your little cub has your bright eyes. Ping, you are a great mother and we all miss seeing you on live cam.

Thank you very much. I am happy to hear about Lin Bing and her cubs. She is a very popular panda in Thailand. And I miss her.
She’s been a very popular panda these past few months. Thanks for reading, we enjoy the feedback.
Thanks for her picture … I miss her very much.
Hi Liza. No problem, thanks for visiting.
On 6/15/16, I entered into a shared adoption of this very cub through Pandas International! So I am very grateful to you for posting these Iovely shots of my lovely daughter! i nicknamed her Xie Xie Pearl! I will be provided with periodic updates through PI.Thanks again!
Hi joann. Lin Bing is my adopted panda. I’m happy hear that her cub has been adopted!
Itt’s a small world! I wish I could have adopted both of her cubs! I just love Pandas! I wish I were younger I would immerse myself in all things panda but i’m 66 I can just get vicarious thrills in the manner of trying to be of some support to them! Thank you for being the pandas future!
It’s a small panda world! 🙂
Which of her cub did you adopt, the elder one or younger one? Lin Bing was born in Thailand and returned to China in 2013. She entered into the breeding last year and on Jul 27th she gave birth to the twin. They are growing so fast and will turn 1 year old next month!
I adopted the younger! I have always been a sucker for the underdog, “underpanda” if you will, and the 2nd cub probably would have beeb abandoned in the wild. Pandas International gave me quite a few panda girls available for adoption to choose and something in Lin Bing’s “smile” made me choose her cubs and so the younger one was an easy choice. I wish I had the money to adopt both, but I don’t! I wonder when they wlll get their names ! July 27 is not far off! Please e-mail me again as we are
“family” through our pandas!
Cee, I went to the PI website just now and my Panda has her name, Fei Li. I googled it and it means Beautiful Fairy! Isn’t that lovely! That’s just what she is!
What a lovely name! She is a Beautiful Fairy. <3
Thank you for sharing the news, JoAnn.
I could not find the info on PI website though. Would you please send me the link? I'm interested to know the name of her sister too.
Cee, i was wrong. Lin Bing’s cubs still don’t have their names. Fei Li was the name shown under the cub under the picture of my cub. It is http://www.PandasInternational.org; go to the “adopt a panda” portion, scroll down till you get to “adoptable females” and you’ll see all the pandas that are adoptable. You have to read through how to adopt a panda first. Hope this helps and I’m sorry for the confusion! Hop you are well! Your panda friend, JoAnn
Cee, after you go to “adopt a panda” and read through it all, click on “shared adoptions” and then you”ll get the choice to click on “adoptable females” or “adoptable males” and then you’ll see all of the lovely pandas! JoAnn
