With Meghan busily traveling through the Sichuan province to further the scope of PDXWildlife’s research on pandas, she still manages to break out the camera and impress me with her photographic eye. Her latest subject was the ever-so picturesque Lin Bing, from Thailand’s Chiang Mai Zoo, and her tree loving cubs. It’s quite incredible to see these cubs grow up so quickly. If you recall, they were born on 7/27/2015 at 16:46 which puts them at roughly 171 days or close to 6 months old now. Both cubs are female, healthy, and happy. They spend most of their time climbing and napping in the trees while momma eats. We can’t wait to get some on the ground playing of these two cute girls and will take video as soon as we see activity! Let us know what you think by commenting below.
If you would rather come and see these fur balls in person, feel free to head on over to Sichuan, China to see our research taking place. We can arrange a viewing of the cubs, moms, and breeding depending on the season you join. We’d love to show you around the panda base! Thanks for viewing.
They are adorable–and it’s a miracle that Lin Bing survived her upbringing with her panda instincts intact and is being such a wonderful mom to her cubs. PI just sent some great pictures of ZZ with at least one of her cubs to one of ZZ’s adopters–can’t wait to see more pictures of her–maybe with both cubs. Thanks for these!
Zhen Zhen was moved to Hetaoping! Very good for her and her cubs but not great for us getting photos. I’m hoping to get up there at least once and stay for a day or two. So sad 🙁
I hope so too, Meg! One of ZZ’s adopters got some pictures of her (from PI) with one of the cubs and a description of her holding one in each arm to nurse–I really hope you’ll be able to see her with both of them.
Awsome! Thank you so much for posting these photos. So happy to see the cubs up on a high tree.
