I thought it might be nice to share a few photos of the Avian variety taken on a trip to the wonderful SW United States. I will leave off the species so that everyone can have a chance to try and identify them on their own.

One of the funniest aspects of trying to photograph wild species is that you can often approach them by car much more closely than you can on foot. When they are flying next to your car it can get quite tricky to steer and shoot at the same time. Sometimes you get lucky and the photo turns out to be a keeper.
