Participation is open to any restaurant that regularly serves seafood.
It’s no secret that declining habitats and resources in our world’s oceans are starting to threaten habitat stability as well as human food security.
So what can you do about it?

PDXWildlife developed PDXSeafood to start helping members
of the community make informed decisions about ocean resources and start making a difference! PDXSeafood is a collaborative project with local restaurants to inform consumers about sustainable seafood choices. We have partnered with The Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch Program to bring this unique program into local area restaurants. We will work with local restaurants in Portland, Oregon, to append their menus to indicate the most sustainably harvested seafood items, and we will track the impact of this change on consumer choices in these restaurants. The purpose of this work is to educate the public about the depletion of fish stocks worldwide, and about how individuals can make responsible decisions that promote sustainable ocean resource management. We hope to encourage consumers to reduce pressure on threatened and over-harvested seafood species, and also to provide restaurant owners and the scientific community with a clear, quantitative assessment of the impact of such consumer-based awareness campaigns.
HOW WILL THIS AFFECT YOUR SEAFOOD DINING?
